Michael “Mr Goopie” Kebede brings infectious energy and a substantial social media following to every stage he touches. Known for his sharp wit and relatable humor, Goopie has built a loyal fanbase through his engaging performance style and consistent ability to pack venues. His strong online presence translates directly to sold-out shows, making him one of the most sought-after comedians on the touring circuit.

Born in Washington DC, Benny is half Nigerian half Ethiopian but grew up overseas in Geneva, Switzerland. He has performed in NYC (Broadway comedy club, Stand NY, Greenwich and other), DC (DC Improv, Comedy Loft, HotBed, Drafthouse and others) as well as internationally in Switzerland, Mexico and Canada (Zoo Fest, Just for Laughs). He has worked with acts such as Matt Rife, Deray Davis, Nate Jackson, Zainab Johnson, Josh Johnson, Ian Lara, Tony Woods as well as others. Most recently took home 2nd place in the 2023 Seattle international Comedy Competition. He was named runner up in the Magoobys 2022 Comedian of the year competition and was named Winner of the DC Improv’s Comedy Kumite competition.

Parking can be difficult; please allow ample time for travel and parking. All lots and street parking are city owned and operated. Please read parking signs carefully. The Den is not responsible for violations received for parking. For detailed information on parking and public transit routes, click here.Most of our shows do not allow or have very limited late seating. If you do not show up on time for a show, you may not be allowed entry. We strongly encourage you to plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time to ensure you avoid any issues with seating. The detailed Terms and Conditions of all ticket purchases can be found here.Prepare for your visit with us:All Heath Mainstage show have a 2 item minimum.Will Call tickets will be held at the box office to be picked up the night of the event, beginning 2 hours before showtime.Have your barcoded E-Tickets out and ready to scan before entering the theatre space.All tickets are subject to expire 15 minutes after showtime.
